8 Exciting Things to Do for Adults in Las Vegas

The kind of experience you’ll have in Las Vegas will largely depend on your budget. While backpackers can find a hostel for as little as $21 a day, they’ll need to spend more if they want a good time. This is especially true if you want to get drinks and see some shows.

However, there are a lot of attractions in Las Vegas to see. Everyone’s experiences will differ based on when they go out and where they travel.

Here are just a few things to do for adults if you’re in the area.

1. Fly Over Vegas

When it comes to sightseeing, there’s no better view than from a helicopter. There are plenty of helicopter tours available that will take you over the main city, out over the Red Rock Canyon, and so on. It’s a great opportunity to take a look at your surroundings and get some stellar photos.

If you’re more of a romantic, you can book a ride around sunset for an unforgettable scene. Some helicopters also let you down at a private vista with drinks and food.

2. Visit a Burlesque Show

If you want to see something a little spicier, you should visit a burlesque show. Burlesque shows are a type of stage entertainment that uses elaborate costumes and reproductions. Some are meant more as parody and satire, while others offer more provocative sights.

You’re likely to see topless curvy women and shirtless men, so it’s definitely not appropriate for children.

Some of the best burlesque shows in Vegas include the Fantasy Burlesque Show and X Burlesque. You can expect some audience participation as well as singing, skits, and more.

3. Drink at Some Unique Bars

The Las Vegas for Adults experience means visiting some of the trendy, unique, and gimmicky bars in the city. Las Vegas is well-known for its crazy nightlife, and you may as well spend your time at some of the most memorable establishments.

There are bars sporting a country theme that plays music straight out of the South. You can also find locations that feature live music played by local bands.

If you’re not sure where to go, there are plenty of bar crawls you can sign up for.

4. Attend a Horseback Tour

If you’re afraid of heights but still want to explore the outdoors, you can try a horseback tour. These tours will take you around the Nevada desert and let you live out your Wild West fantasies. Some of them offer dinners as part of the tour, so you can enjoy your meal alongside the sunset.

While a horseback tour will take you away from the Vegas strip for a few hours, it may be just what you need to reset for your next nighttime outing.

5. Cool Off at a Pool Party

Is the heat getting you down? Well, what better way to beat it than spending some time in the water?

When visiting Las Vegas, try to make time to enjoy the water. There are plenty of water locations, like water parks and swimming pools. It’s a good option if you want to stay cool

However, don’t expect to be able to go for a simple swim at these Vegas locations. You’re more likely to find a lot of adults drinking and partying it up to world-famous DJs. You can take your kids to Cowabunga Vegas Water Parks when you’ve sobered up the next day.

6. Visit a Ghost Town

Even though Nevada is mostly known by tourists for Las Vegas, it actually has more ghost towns than populated ones. That means there are plenty of empty, worn-down towns ripe for exploration.

One of the closest ghost towns to Vegas is Nelson, which features the Techatticup Mine. This area has mine tours, canoe and kayak rentals, and a lot of history.

Goodsprings is another ghost town close to Vegas that has a walking tour and a century-old saloon. There are also old miner cabins and a schoolhouse you can visit.

7. Try Zero Gravity

Anyone who wants a taste of what it’s like to go to space should check out the zero gravity experience in Las Vegas. It’s one of the few Las Vegas attractions that provides a Zero-G flight experience in an actual plane.

The effect will last for up to 30 seconds at a time, but it’ll happen repeatedly as the plane flies in parabolic patterns. Whenever anyone asks you about your Las Vegas experiences, this will likely be your go-to story.

Keep in mind that the zero gravity experience isn’t cheap. If you want something more affordable, there are plenty of skydiving options. Launch yourself from a moving plane or opt for the much safer indoor skydiving experience.

8. Get Hitched for Fun

One of the things to do for adults in Las Vegas is to have a themed wedding and get hitched. Even if you’re already married, it never hurts to renew your vows in style.

The Graceland Chapel is a great choice for fans of Elvis, and you can have an impersonator officiate the event. If you absolutely love Denny’s, you can get married in one and top it off with a stack of pancakes.

Anyone who wants to do something quick and easy will love a drive-thru wedding. While it originally started as an option for disabled people who wanted to stay in their cars, it’s now a fun option for anyone who wants to get hitched in their own vehicle.
